The writing journey is fraught with unexpected twists and turns. You can be creating one minute, then sobbing the next because you are sure no one will like your art.
Releasing a new work into the vast library of the world is exciting. So it isn’t surprising that the low is rough. And if you aren’t generating the interest you had hoped (or expected) you can just keep sinking.
And this up and down will continue as you get sales, reviews, and feedback from readers.
So what is an author to do? Why, get busy creating again!
I combatted my imposter syndrome sadness by creating. I finished setting up the paperback and hardcover edition. I also did some character art via Artbreeder. (Was totally fun.) And even made a TikTok video.
I really worked hard on this book. After a 5 year hiatus, it is a bit spooky to be putting it out there. But, I loved getting to know Dong and Riley. I hope you will too.
You can preorder the ebook for 99¢ right now. The release date is June 22.
